PTL HE'S AWAKE!!!

I just received the call from Michael that Andrew is awake!!!
He's breathing on his own they have removed the restraints and he's trying to talk, he can't of course because of the swelling and irritation but he is trying!!! They will put back on the oxygene tonight just in case he forgets to breathe in his sleep, I guess because he's been on so many meds and the machines have been doing all the work for him but he is definately on the right path back to us!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! GOD IS SO SO SO GOOD!!!!

  2. Thank you so much Cheryl, I can't even begin to explain how happy I am, infact when Mike called yesterday I was in tears, TEARS??? How crazy is that I am absolutely over the moon happy and I couldn't stop crying???, I guess the stress of it all and the constant worry, then to finally hear some great news I guess it was just tears of joy!!!

And to answer your question about the fresh ground beef we made on Sunday... WOW, it was awesome!! We all worked on it, Mike cut up the meat and the boys and I took turns feeding the grinder. It tasted so great!! We are definately converts!! We started on this path to try to save some money, we use a good amount of hamburger in our meals and hamburger here used to be a good price, now its just not, its most times over 3.00lb, so we thought well if I can get roasts on sale then maybe it would be worth it. Yes there is work involved and I guess if you count that the price is about the same but we don't mind the extra work so we don't take that into account much. Now I'm on the hunt for some great sausage recipes, as it is 3.99 a lb here for Bob Evans or Jimmy Dean brand and pork roasts are on sale this week for 1.69!!! I can't wait to give it a go and see what we can do!! We love breakfast sausage, hot sausage for pizza, italian sausage, etc, hopefully I can find some recipes that we love and will start making our own sausage too!! Trying to save where I can, its getting harder and harder to keep everyone full on a tight budget!! Come on gardening season, lol !!

  3. I can't wait to begin the gardening season as well. We have at least two months or more until we can plant the root vegetables. It looks like we are supposed to have another wet spring, so it may be even later.

That is a great deal on pork roasts. I am not sure what our butcher puts in ours, but we really like it.

Have a wonderful day with your family.

  4. Not sure when we will be able to start gardening, the weather this winter has just been so unusual. Dh's afraid of another dry hot summer. I guess its just a waiting game.
